Post 2: Creativity

The Idea of "Creativity"

I think that creativity is the ability to produce inventive ideas and introduce them from thought into reality. Creativity is all to do with a Person who thinks unusual thoughts, which are interesting.

When most people are creative, they try to keep it as original as they can. Creativity was mainly a big attraction in art and science and led to the emergence of the creative class.

This picture is classed as creative because the painter has used his own initiative to use mosaic tiles to create a picture.

Game of Consequence:


This involved a group of four with each person having to write down an adjective and noun onto a sheet of paper to create a sentence.

Each time something was written down, it was then folded over so that the idea was that the next person couldn't see what was written before.

When the piece of paper was opened up it read a short sentence. Our group ended up with "THE DISGUSTING BUCKET DRINKING NEW RUBBER DUCK."Our next task was then to be creative ourselves & create an image involving a new rubber duck and a bucket.

Video on Creativity:

For our final task, we had to create a short video clip on creativity.   For this we had to see how creative our group could be with a camera. &Our task was to film it about a pen.

The clip could not be edited so every shot had to be perfect.

We had twenty minutes to come up with an idea and film it & we came up with the idea of a lost pen.

We decided that the individual had lost his pen & went around looking for it not knowing it was behind his ear the entire time.

The good thing about this was that everyone in the group had there own creative ideas and these were put together into one.

I feel that we were creative with this task because we decided  when filming, that we would get random passers by involved with the task, & we did  this by getting a  member of my group who was the actor  to ask random passers by if they knew where his pen was without the aware of his approach.

We decided to do this so that we could include something different into our task to make it unique and stand out from the others.


My Own Way of Being Creative

I feel this is a creative image because I took it on a friends camera meaning that it was my creative idea of which I chose to take because of the appealing atmosphere. By taking this photo, I feel that I have identified the term Creativity because of the fact of where the image is taken and the surroundings within it as it is not an every day picture that can simply just be taken for myself.


Conclusion


In conclusion, I feel that Creativity is the ability to produce a piece of your own idea that nobody would generally think of & an example could be the image above as mentioned because not everybody would think to take exactly the same picture focussing on what the picture shows.


As for the Game of Consequences, it made me think about random words off of the top of your head that are put together in a sentence and  can most of the time actually make sense when at  the time you are unsure of whether or not they will. 

The group video that we did for the last task I felt was a very good brain tester task as it made us combine ideas and think together of what we could do for a film in the little time given. It was a good way for both us and others to see how creative we could be and how creative we actually were when watching the film back.


To end my conclusion I think that being creative is a good understanding to have when writing & producing a film because it helps make your intelligence stand out due to the fact that you are using your own creative ideas that may work well that others may not have thought of doing. this means that it will make your film interesting and stand out to others.
